Setup Guide: Install in 10 Minutes (Windows Clinic Computer)
Getting started is simple. Reminders For Clinics is installed locally on your clinic Windows computer and does not require integrations, technical setup calls, or complex onboarding.
Most clinics complete installation in under 10 minutes.
What you need before installation
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Windows clinic computer (front desk or admin PC)
- Internet connection (only for WhatsApp messaging)
- Access to install a program (standard Windows installation)
Step-by-step: install the software (EXE installer)
Step 1) Download the EXE installer
Go to the trial page and download the software installer file (.EXE).
Step 2) Open the downloaded file
On your Windows computer, open the downloaded file:
- Usually saved under: Downloads
- File name format: something like RemindersForClinics.exe
Double-click to launch the installer.
Step 3) Approve Windows security prompt
Windows may display a security prompt. This is normal for EXE installers.
- Click Run or Yes to continue
Step 4) Complete the installation (Next → Next → Install)
Follow the installation wizard:
- Click Next
- Choose install location (default is recommended)
- Click Install
Installation usually takes 1–2 minutes.
Step 5) Open the software
After installation is complete, open the software:
- Desktop shortcut (if created)
- Or Windows Start menu: search for Reminders For Clinics

During first-time setup, you will configure:
- Clinic name and clinic signature
- Clinic phone number
- Reminder schedule (48h / 24h / optional same-day)
- Message templates and tone
- Optional keyword replies (ADDRESS / PARKING / INSTRUCTIONS)

Step 7) Send your first WhatsApp reminder
Once configured, you can send your first reminders and confirmation messages. Most clinics start with:
- 48-hour reminder + confirmation
- 24-hour reminder
Patients confirm quickly by replying YES/NO.
Troubleshooting (common quick fixes)
The EXE file is blocked
Right-click the file → Properties → check “Unblock” (if available) → Apply.
Windows SmartScreen warning
Click “More info” → “Run anyway” to proceed with installation.
The software closes after launch
Restart the computer and open the program again. If the issue continues, contact support.
